The Homosassa and Crystal River area is rapidly becoming the most popular scallop destination in Florida. We are conveniently located an easy drive from the Tampa Bay and Orlando regions. Since scalloping reopened in the Homosassa area in 2002 after a 7 year ban, the Nature Coast has proven to be one of the premier scalloping sites in the region. During the 7 year ban, the scallops in our area have once again become abundant.
Scalloping is fun and the license as well as use of mask, fins, and snorkel are included in your cost, $55 per person.
At our scalloping beds the water is only waist deep so you can stand and take a break when you want.
You are welcome to bring along food and drinks, however, if you forget, sandwiches, sodas, and other refreshments are available nearby.
We can accommodate private groups up to 15 persons. You may just want to snorkel or swim in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico while others scallop.
Important Notes
Scallop limits are 2 gallons whole per person, 10 gallons per boat with 5 or more passengers. If you clean the scallops before returning to the dock, the limit is 1 pint of scallop meats per person with a maximum of ½ gallon per boat. Unless the scallops are running large, the 2 gallon whole scallop limit cleans out to considerably less that 1 pint of meats.
A recreational saltwater fishing license is required and is provided with your trip.

Just wanted to thank you once again for the wonderful time we had on our scalloping tour this past Sunday. Captain Dan was outstanding!! He was so friendly and helpful, which put us at ease immediately. He went above and beyond to make us all feel at home and make sure we had a good time and a great experience. I think those people caused their own trouble by not showing up on time, which is just plain dumb! So, I was happy to put up another great review to add to the MANY other great reviews about you.
